Biography

Picture
Raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Kimberly Juda Souder has been creating unique and expressive artworks for several years.  What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passionate quest to capture the scenes of nature which have inspired her.  After obtaining a degree in art education from Montana State University, Souder moved back to her home and has since been actively involved in the arts community by serving three years as President of Central Shenandoah Arts, a non-profit organization which seeks to promote the growth of the arts within the Rockingham County area.  Souder now lives with her husband and son near Timberville, VA, and gives drawing and painting lessons to children and adults at the Spitzer Art Center in Harrisonburg.

Most of Souder's paintings are oil or acrylic, and drawings are pencil or charcoal.  As far as subject matter, she does not limit herself to categories, and finds a broad range appealing.  She also works by commission,  painting and drawing figures, animals, landscapes and murals by request.  Please contact her for more information and pricing.
